Ingredients
- 8 slices challah or texas toast bread, left out for a bit to dry
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup maple syrup, warmed
Instructions
Step 1
In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugarStep 2
Whisk together cinnamon mixture, eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour into a shallow containerStep 3
In a 10-inch or 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heatStep 4
Dip bread in mixture, shake off excess, and cook for 4-5 minutes per side
