Hot dog chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chorizo
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 6 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • 1/2 bottle light beer

This goes great with the beer cheese sauce for chili cheese fries or chili cheese dogs!

Instructions

  • Step 1

    Brown chorizo and ground beef

  • Step 2

    Add oil and garlic until garlic is fragrant

  • Step 3

    Add onions and cook until starting to soften

  • Step 4

    Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, and oregano and mix

  • Step 5

    Add beer and mix well

  • Step 6

    Cook for 20-30 minutes on low

  • Step 7

    Salt and pepper to taste
